The Story

Hello friend! I'm Jena and I founded Motley Mountain in 2021. My work focuses on handmade goods with an adventurous spirit. “Motley” is endearingly used to represent the colorful hodge podge of critters on earth, including you and me. “Mountain” is an ode to the complex ecological formations that inspire wanderlust and grit within my studio practice.

My work is all handcrafted and made with care. Due to their handmade nature, each item is unique in its own way. No two are exactly the same. Glazes, handles, sizes, and shapes will vary with each pot— but that is exactly what makes them so special.

Care and Handling

All pottery items are food and microwave safe, unless otherwise noted. Dish washing is okay, but hand washing is recommended to ensure a longer life cycle for your wares.

About Shipping

All items are mailed with care through USPS Priority Mail. Orders are shipped out within 3-5 business days. If an item gets lost in the mail, a store credit for 50% of the item's value will be given to the purchaser. If an item arrives broken, a store credit of 100% of item's value will be given to purchaser. Photo proof of broken item must be given within 2 days of the item's delivery date. 

Pottery is packed with recycled kraft paper and biodegradable packing peanuts. Peanuts can be thrown away and will dissolve in water according to the manufacturer. 

Return Policy

Returns are accepted within 7 days of item's delivery date. Purchaser pays for return shipping.
